It’s that time of year again. Everyone is getting spooky for Halloween.
As I watch the little kids rushing around or carrying costumes home, I remember the years past when my kid were at home.

We used to have our own little party at Halloween. Our home was lit by candles and the kids covered themselves with sheets, cutting holes for their eyes and mouth, playing the traditional ghosts. They would run around the house, up and down the steps making noises, and I would cook up a special holiday meal and we sat to dinner as a family of ghosts! The little one always insisted that he was Casper – the friendly ghost!

I do miss them and hope they have plans for a happy Halloween with their own families now.
